Mrs. Linda McFail Burton, 54, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest suddenly Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Chase City, VA.
Mrs. Burton was born in Halifax County, VA February 7, 1958 to the late Butch Studivant and Roberta McFail. She was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA. She continued her education at Southside Virginia Community College, Alberta, VA. She was a well known beautician.
In addition to her father, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Burton, one brother, Willie L. Studivant, two sisters, Martha K. Bacon and Rose Ann Bullock.
Cherishing her memories are two children, Shaleter Burton (Derelle) and Nina Clark (Jay) of Chase City, VA; God-children, Alexis McFail and Nicole McFail both of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Rashad and Sataryah Burton-Williams and Janiyah Bragg; nine brothers, Earl Pettus of Baltimore, MD, Earnest McFail of South Hill, VA, Tyrone McFail (Mary), Sandy McFail (Delores), Edward McFail (Hester), Otis Studivant, John Studivant, Ben Clark and Harold Clark all of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Juanita Jones (Herman) of Chase City, VA, Sylvia McFail of Baltimore, MD, Priscilla McFail of Chase City, VA; special friend, Eugene Young and a vast number of nieces, nephews and many devoted friend.
Funeral services for Mrs. Linda M. Burton will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 P.M. Viewing will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 7 P.M.
